ChatBots and Chat from Email - new features of SalesIQ

A few weeks ago, I wrote about the comprehensive features of SalesIQ (https://www.aurelian-group.com/blogs/post/engage-and-convert-website-visitors-with-salesiq). Now Zoho has introduced two new and powerful features to engage with your visitors - a ChatBot, and a Chat from Email functionality.

No - it is not Cyberdyne Systems launching SkyNet and introducing the T-2000 - and this ChatBot does not have a thick Austrian Accent (or at least, not that we can notice reading the chat conversation - it could be fun to imagine, though). The ChatBot functionality introduced in SalesIQ is there to make your life, as well as your visitor's life easier. They can handle simple tasks in a conversational manner, such as obtaining initial information on the request, contact details, or pointing to the right direction. The programming is done from within SalesIQ, and is done with Zoho's scripting language Deluge. The scripts are neatly devided into Trigger.Handler, Message.Handler, and Context.Handler code containers. 

For the non-programmers among us (I count myself into that - my coding does not go much further than "if Matt then error"), Zoho has provided templates that you can use and edit. Marcus Aurelius Bot is programmed with such template. 

You can set the hours of operation of your ChatBot - 24/7, or at specific times only (work time, or specifically outside of office hours). During the chat conversation with the ChatBot - if you have set the parameter to allow it - the visitor can request to speak with a human. I am sure the ChatBot will not harbour any ill feelings (and signs off with "I'll be back").

A new way to respond to an email - real time chat

Email Ping-Pong - yeah, we love writing and receiving emails. And then replying again, and reading the reply to that - asking for further clarifications... Sometimes a conversation would be so much simpler. And quicker. Introducing the Chat from Email functionality in SalesIQ!

In SalesIQ, you can generate a piece of HTML code (well, generate... SalesIQ does this for you - you do not need to write a single line of code), and you can add that HTML snip to your email signature. This will provide a "Chat with us" graphic, with an online/offline indicator. You can have the chat directed to your company chat portal where an on-duty agent can take the chat (or your ChatBot), or you can have the chat directed at the sender specifically. If you are tired of typing, you could initiate a Voice Call from the chat window itself - yes, actually speaking to another human being - how radically different (sarcasm is intended).
